Just like the nature of the series, this is called a “touchdown.” This is why The CW has renewed All American: Homecoming for a second season. Initially, the spinoff series was supposed to air on HBO Max. So when the show made its debut on Netflix, many fans were surprised. And now that the first season has ended, many are wondering if there will be a second season and when it will air. This article will help give you the answers you need.
All American: Homecoming Season 2 Release Date
Just a few months ago, The CW announced several titles that they have cancelled. The good news is, All American: Homecoming and its original show have been renewed for another season. This means that fans can look forward to an All American: Homecoming Season 2 and All American Season 5. What’s even better is that these two shows are getting released on the same day. It has been announced that the two shows will be coming to The CW on October 10, 2022. New episodes will then be released every week until Spring 2023, when its episodes will wrap up. This means that All American: Homecoming Season 2 will have a total of 13 episodes. Unfortunately, this also means that for Netflix users, the show won’t be coming until a week after the finale episode. This is part of the agreement that The CW and Netflix made for the shows that will be aired on the latter. So if you’re a Netflix user, you’ll likely get to see your favorite characters back on screen by April or May 2023.
All American: Homecoming Season 2 Cast
There hasn’t been any news of any cast member leaving the show, which means you can expect to see your favorite actors reprising their roles for All American: Homecoming Season 2. The characters you’ll see on this show include the following:
Geffri Maya (as Simone)Mitchell Edwards (as Cam Watkins)Peyton Alex Smith (as Damon Sims)Kelly Jenrette (as Amara Patterson)Sylvester Powell (as Jesse Raymond, Jr.)Camille Hyde (as Thea Mays)Netta Walker (as Keisha McCalla)Cory Hardrict (as Coach Marcus Turner)

All American: Homecoming Season 2 Story
Right now, The CW has not released an official synopsis for All American: Homecoming Season 2. But it will likely follow on the footsteps of the first season. More importantly, it will bring viewers back to the drama between Simone-Damon-Thea. Not to mention, the family drama that Damon is currently facing after learning he is actually Jesse’s son and JR’s brother. While he cannot stand Coach Shaw, it seems like he loathes Jesse more. The cliffhangers at season 1 also left us with the unresolved situation with Coach Turner’s mental health and his relationship with President Amara Patterson. Hopefully, those will get answered in the second season. But the good news is, we won’t have to wait too long to get answers since the show is coming back to The CW. If you’re on Netflix, then you’ll have to wait a few more months to get an update on these characters.
