Spoken like a true member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, Lake Bell’s voice acting with What If…? Black Widow posed an uncanny similarity to Scarlet Johansson’s Black Widow. It is no surprise as she had also lent her voice to play Vanessa Fisk and her alternate universe counterpart on Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, Poison Ivy in the HBO Max series Harley Quinn (2019-present), as well as Chloe the blue cat in The Secret Life of Pets 2.
Bell also discussed her relationship with director Ryan Coogler, saying how much of a good friend he had been since they became comrades in 2013, expressing her utmost gratitude and support in getting to see Coogler’s success on the premiere.
Although Bell has yet to reveal what role exactly she will be playing in the film, her confirmation of starring in the film her friend made is definitely a heartwarming news for fans who also want to support the Black Panther sequel.
