Some fans have been wondering whether Feige himself actually voiced the A.I. in the finale. However, in an interview with ComicBook.com, head writer and executive producer Jessica Gao revealed that Feige did not voice that character despite trying to convince him to take the role for the special moment. “That is not Kevin [Feige’s] voice, that is a voice actor we hired. We campaigned very hard for Kevin to do the voice and he refused. Yes, we did get in a fight over the hat because in the script it says that She-Hulk enters the inner sanctum,” Gao said.
“There is this big Akira-like Hal-9000 type machine. The pre-vis team, had already started mocking up all types of versions of Kevin. They all had a little black baseball cap on top. Real Kevin says, ‘You can’t have the… It doesn’t make any sense for a machine to wear this baseball hat.’ I was like, ‘Kevin, this is the problem you have with all of this?’” Even though Feige himself didn’t voice the character, it still does look and feel like him with the baseball cap on the design and being the mastermind behind the MCU in the series just like in real life as we all know. It’s also worth noting that Feige approved the idea so it still has his fingerprints. Whether he voiced it or not, it was still a huge shocking twist and it was definitely one of the biggest creative risks that Marvel ever did which paid off based on the online responses.
