Hits Daily Double reported that Grammy-winning artist Rihanna has recorded two songs for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. However, they didn’t provide specific details regarding the title of the songs or how they are going to be featured in the film. The report also classified it as part of their “Rumor Mill” so we have to take it with a grain of salt so we may have to wait for Marvel’s official unveiling of the soundtrack before we can definitely say that the Grammy-winning artist is involved.
Assuming that the report is true, it is definitely a big get for the film’s music team since Rihanna is one of the most popular artists right now and she will be joining the pantheon of wonderful artists who have contributed to the soundtrack of the franchise including Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and The Weeknd. It could also be the start of a resurgence for Rihanna’s music career since she is also slated to perform for the halftime show at the next Super Bowl in 2023 and there have been rumors for some time now that she will finally release her next album in the near future. So far, Marvel has not revealed any details regarding the soundtrack except the return of composer Ludwig Göransson, who scored the first film. There is also no word yet whether Kendrick Lamar returned to headline the soundtrack for the sequel.
