The first season of Netflix’s League of Legends animated series Arcane was greatly praised by critics and fans, and Season 2 is alredy in the works. The nine-episode series was released on the streaming service last November, and it features the story of Vi and Jinx, , sisters who find themselves on opposing sides of a brewing war over clashing convictions and arcane technologies. Netflix has another show that received an Emmy nomination under the “Outstanding Short Form Animated Program” category, and that’s Love, Death + Robots Volume 3, which I think is the strongest collection of standalone episodes. The Jibaro episode is probably the best the show ever released, and other episodes are also enjoyable to watch. The sci-fi animated anthology will likely be renewed for a fourth season. Meanwhile, Disney Plus also has strong showings with nominees: Marvel’s What If…? and Star Wars: Visions. You can check out the full list of nominees for the animation categories below.
